Spring Gate Farm is home to more than 200 chickens of all sizes and types. We have Pearl White Leghorns, Rhode Island Reds, Golden Campines, Salmon Faverolles, Phoenix, Speckled Sussex, Barred Rock, Buff Orpingtons, Buff Rock, Black Australorp, Red Star, and Black Star just to name a few. All our chickens are free-ranged in a pasture with access to fresh water, blue skies and fresh grass. They have fresh nesting boxes that are changed daily and enjoy the shade of an open air chicken coop in the summer. Eggs are collected twice daily and are washed and refrigerated immediately.
