• Does should be in good condition and parasite free at time of breeding
• The gestation period for goats is about 150 days
• First time does usually kid a single birth and thereafter twins
• After kidding, navels are treated with iodine
• Kids should receive Scrapies identification tags
• At 6 weeks kids should be vaccinated with CD-T
• The kidding process is relatively trouble free
